In 2004 I was living in Cornwall and attended a year long botanical illustration course at the Eden Project with Rosie Martin and Meriel Thurstan.
I struggled to keep up with the other students, as I didn’t have the art or drawing experience they had.
However, I did learn some great observational skills, colour, drawing and watercolour techniques and used a lighted glass box to make initial tracings to help with my drawings.
